- Quenching Oil coolers in Heat Treatment Plants and Forging units.
- Condensers, Chillers and Evaporators are used in the Air Conditioning and Refigeration Systems.
- Cutting Oil Coolers are used in Machine Shops.
Heat Exchanger is an efficient device to heat or cool liquids by means of a heating or cooling media as the case may be. There are many types of Heat Exchangers, the important types being the following.
- Shell & Tube Type
- Finned tube box Type (Radiator Type)
- Plate Type
- Spiral Type
- Double Pipe Type
The most commonly used Heat Exchangers are the Shell and Tube type. The main feature of all the types are that the two liquids exchange heat without coming into direct contact with each other. There is no mixing of the two liquids and are separated by a metallic wall, the Heat exchange takes place by a combination of CONVECTION and CONDUCTION.
The materials used by us for construction are mentioned below
a) TUBES - ERW Steel, Seamless Steel, Copper, Cupro Nickel, Brass, Admirality Brass, T.Base Shell, Aluminium Brass and Stainless Steel.
b) TUBE SHEET - Carbon Steel, Naval Brass, Admirality Brass and Stainless Steel - SS304, 316, 3162.
c) CHANNEL/COVER - Forged Steel, Mild Steel and Cast Iron are used for mild process Fluids. In the case of corrosive fluids, materials like Stainless Steel and Cast Iron are used.
d) GASKETS - Compressed Asbestos, Rubber & Metal Spirals.
KAARTHIK HEAT TRANSFER can offer Heat Exchangers of capacity ranging from 1 sq.meter to 250 sq.meters of Heat Transfer area with the Operating temperatures upto 250oC and Working Pressure of 40kg/cm2g.
- KAARTHIK make Heat Exchanger (Water/Water) is widely used in Power Generation units in Industries, Hotels and Commercial Establishments.
- In Chemical Industries for cooling chemical fluids or pre-heating chemicals.
- In cooling or heating of Oils - preheating lubricating oils and furnace oils, cooling of quenching oils in the Heat Treatment Plants.
- In cooling and heating of Air and Water, Condensing Vapours, Extracting heat from furnace flue gases. Cooling of compressed Air and Gases, Reboilers for distillation columns etc.,
- In the Hydraulic Power Packs our Hydraulic Oil Coolers are fitted as a OEM by some of our customers.
- Our Air Blast Oil Coolers are used by our customer in the place where quality water for cooling is not available. We manufacture Air Blast Oil coolers up to 24,000 Kcals/hr at present.
